PAL-V Flying Car

Mankind have been dreaming about flying cars ever since the days of the ‘Jetsons.’ Back then, people predicted “by the year 2000″ we would all be flying about in our sedans. This is 2012, and instead, we’re complaining about rising gas prices as we still roll around in boring old 4-wheelers. But a Dutch company seems to think they have created the world’s first street-legal flying car viable for mass production.

It’s called the Pal V One, and at first glance, it may look like a high speed three-wheeled scooter. All that changes when its rotor blades extend out and it turns into a chopper. Check out the company video showing the Pal V One prototype in action.

Although the above video was uploaded to YouTube on April 1st, this is not a joke people. The Pal-V One is real, and after numerous successful tests, the company is looking for investors to bring the flying car to the showroom.  We assume the Pal-V One won’t come cheap, but billionaires like Richard Branson will surely buy one to add their collection of expensive toys. We, on the other hand, are still holding out for the first flying car that looks more like the Delorean from ‘Back to the Future.’ Well, that, or a hoverboard.
